Our stable is located on a multi-generational family farm in Ripley, NY, nestled along the scenic Chautauqua Wine Trail and just minutes from Lake Erie. Since 1982, we’ve welcomed thousands of guests to ride, explore, and make memories in the great outdoors. From trail rides and pony rides to our family-friendly petting farm, there’s something here for everyone — no experience required.

Horseback Riding for All Experience Levels

At Double DAB, we believe horseback riding should be accessible, safe, and fun for all ages. That’s why every ride starts with a brief, beginner-friendly intro on how to ride, steer, and feel comfortable with your horse. Whether you’ve never ridden before or you’re returning for another ride, our experienced guides are here to make sure you feel confident and enjoy every moment.


We currently have around 80 horses on the property — 40 of which are trained specifically for trail rides. Many of our horses are born and raised right on the farm, and we take pride in our horse rescue efforts as well. All trail horses are trained with patience and care, making them well-suited for riders of all levels.


Our scenic trail rides wind through lush woodlands, grassy meadows, and open fields with breathtaking views of Lake Erie. For a truly magical experience, don’t miss our Sunset Rides, which offer a peaceful 1.5 to 2-hour journey as the sun dips below the horizon.

Visitor Info & Trail Ride Guidelines

We aim to make your visit as enjoyable and safe as possible. Please note the following:

  • Riders must be at least 6 years old to participate in trail rides.

  • Weight limit is 240 lbs per rider to ensure the health of our horses.

  • Children under 6 can enjoy supervised pony rides around the farmyard.

  • Everyone is welcome to visit the petting farm, regardless of age or riding ability.

Rides are available by reservation only — we do not accept walk-ins.
