At Double DAB Riding Stable, horse riding isn’t just an activity — it’s a deeply rooted family tradition. Located along the beautiful Chautauqua Wine Trail in Ripley, NY, our family-owned horse farm has been welcoming riders since 1982. What began as a local venture by Darlene Breads and Doug Bowen — now run with their daughter Chelsey — has grown into Chautauqua County’s most recognized and beloved horse riding stable.



Double DAB Riding Stable sits on land that has been in the Bowen family for generations. With sweeping views of Lake Erie and miles of wooded and open trails, we provide an authentic equestrian experience for riders of all levels. Whether you’re joining us for a scenic trail ride, pony ride, or family visit to our petting farm, you’ll feel the warmth, pride, and tradition that define our riding heritage.

From the start, Double DAB has stayed true to its roots: raising and training trail horses with patience, offering genuine hospitality, and fostering a love for the land and its animals. Most of our trail horses are bred, born, and trained right here on the farm. With 80 horses total — 40 trained for riding — our herd is a reflection of decades of care and commitment.
